Acrylic Rings

Here is my attempt at a ring made from nail acrylic. The powder is INM holographic powder mixed with millenium glitter from Nail Graphix and the liquid is Creative Retention+. This is something that came about because of an interesting thread on the nailgeek forum.

It seems there are not enough nail videos on the net, so here's one to increase their number. In this video I go through a new set of acrylics with silver glitter tips and a gel topcoat. The look and feel of the video is purposely made to be soft and warm rather than stark, bright and clinical..... Enjoy!

New Forest Birthday Picnic

We all met in the New Forest near Ringwood to have a birthday picnic for Jill. After a dodgy start to the day the weather turned out very good, and everybody had a great relaxing Sunday.

Here is a Mother and her 2 Kittens, living wild at Mike's work in Ringwood. They all seem to be healthy and quite friendly.

Lightning Strike.

Sat 22nd July 2006. This was a lightning strike on the house just behind where we live viewed from our patio doors. Mike found the lady who lives there in a neighbours house, she was shaken but fine. The lightning had travelled down the tv cable and blown the aerial socket and 2 power sockets (not plugs) out of the wall. In our house the strike set off the microwave (which you can hear in the video), destroyed two clocks and Ellens computer switched off and no longer works, it set the kids toothbrushes flashing. Mike saw a spark go across the front room from the telephone socket to the radiator. We are still finding things that arent working. All in all it was a storm to remember.
