Digital photography started for me way back when I bought my first digital camera, a Mustek with VGA (640x480) resolution and the ability to flatten 4 AA batteries quicker than Duracell could make them. Being able to create digital images on the computer had me hooked.
That first camera came with a copy of Photoshop LE. The ability to manipulate and improve peoples wedding and family archives with just a scanner and this new software made me realise what a powerful application Photoshop was and still is.
Since then my photographic life moved on to producing product shots and web media for local companies and national organisations, which also includes making promotional videos and presentation content.
You may not want to work in photography but the chances are you have a digital camera, so why not try and get the best for your money by investing a little time in learning simple techniques, that soon become second nature, and get better shots every time.
Enjoy your Photography.
Mike.
